The Pro Players Foundation Mission: Enriching The Lives of Children
With the mission of “Enriching the Lives of Children,” The Pro Players Foundation combines the time and talents of numerous professional athletes and business and community leaders to help assist disadvantaged youth in the North Texas area. In an effort to make fund raising, communication, community awareness, and the daily operations of the 501c(3) corporation run more smoothly, the Foundation’s activities are directed through three organizational entities:
BOARD OF DIRECTORS - This group of business and community leaders is responsible for the operation and oversight of the Pro Players Foundation. The Board of Directors provides a governing process that defines the ethical guidelines and operating standards for the daily activities of the Foundation and helps supply a vision for the future. The PPF has no salaried staff, ensuring every dollar generated goes directly toward the group’s efforts on behalf of vulnerable youth in North Texas.
PRO PLAYERS - Current and former professional athletes who seek to go beyond the game to raise dollars and community awareness through direct support of the PPF’s special events and programs. Their active participation is key to the Foundation’s ability to meet the needs of those disadvantaged North Texas children.
ADVISORY BOARD - Representatives from all five North Texas Professional Sports Teams, business executives and media managers make up the Foundation’s Advisory Board, which provides advice andsupport to the PPF and its’ Board of Directors. These individuals provide both technical expertise and assessment of the Foundation’s various programs and projects. The Advisory Board also supports theFoundation by fund raising, serving as advocates and public relations representatives, and providing a liaison between constituents and the organization.
